How to create a good hyperlink

April 22nd, 2011

I recently spoke with a lady who needed help setting up her first website. She was a great writer and can write many articles in a short amount of time and each one was very high quality. I set her up a site on Blogger.com and I thought she would be ready to go. What ended up happening is this lady got completely hung up on Blogger.com’s tagging system. You can tag each article you write with several descriptions the article is about. No matter how many ways I described the tagging system she could not understand the concept and did not want to go further with her website until this was understood. Although the tag system was not critical to her success she became permanently stagnated in failure before she ever really began. What we teach is moving past this silly type of behavior. You need to write 4 articles in total to begin. The first article will be of high quality while the other articles will be similar in topic but not necessarily as high of a quality article as your original.

Here is how writing articles to your site works. You need to write one high quality very good compelling article on your site of a topic of your choice. The article on your website needs to be extremely good, edited, and spelled correctly. You do not want to re-post this article on another site. This article needs to be exclusive to this site so be sure you get this point as it is extremely important. You will then write some more articles that may be similar but do not have to have the kind of thought and time that went into the first article.

Although it is a smart thing to have your main website on a paid web host like Bluehost you can also use free hosts like Wordpress.com, Blogger.com, and Tumblr.com. Once you have one or two sites setup begin writing your articles on these sites. Even if you have no sites setup yet you could still be writing articles and when those sites are up you can simply paste those articles into the sites once you get them up. The important point is to not get held up in the process of moving forward in some way. The main failing point when making a money making site is that people eventually fail before they have even really started. So get started in writing a main article and 3 more similar articles that do not have to be as good.

Now that you have an article written on these other websites you can concentrate on thinking about how to create a hyperlink in that article that links back to the original article you have written on your main site. Keep in mind that these articles written on other sites are not the exact same as your original article. The articles may be about the same topic but you did not copy and paste the content from one site to another. You never want to duplicate content. Search engines hate duplicate content. To create the links in the article that link back to your article on your main site you simply need to find the paperclip icon in the site graphical user interface. There you can enter the site URL, Title, and Alt Text. The ALT text and keywords are critical to doing an effective SEO linking strategy. You want to make sure you link to the main article using the same words you expect someone to search in Google to find your article. Keep it under 4 words and you will receive more traffic.

Finally do not forget to link back to the main site using the right keywords. On self hosted sites, Blogger.com, and Wordpress.com you will see a little paper clip icon. This icon automatically creates hyperlinks for you. In the url field simply enter the website address back to the main article on your main site. In the ALT text area enter a 2 - 3 word keyword that people would use to search in a search engine like Yahoo to find your subject matter. Finally in the Title field enter 2 - 3 words slightly different than the ALT text that people would use to search fro your article in similar search engines like Google.

How Is Creating Good Copies Important For Your Firm?

April 20th, 2011

Copywriting can give your revenue a boost if employed effectively. Copywriting is an art by which you develop a design and employ some persuasive words to attract the attention of consumers, which will make the consumers buy your product and help your sales grow. Creating copies is challenging and a good copywriting is one which helps your product stand out from the ocean of similar products.

Creating copies is different from writing articles in many ways. Copies are usually a question or a phrase where as articles are very long and will have several paragraphs to contain all the information. Let’s check out some of the easy ways to develop copies for your product.

Project Your Strength.

When you do copywriting, it is essential to know the strengths of your service or product. If you understand your product in a better way, it is useful in creating a good copy, which will promote positive aspects of the product.

Know Your Competitor.

When you start copywriting, it is important that you conduct a research on the product and its competitors. This will help you be up-to-date of the trends in the market and the techniques used by competitors to grow. It allows you to look at yourself in comparison with other products and to see how you can outperform them. Check their weak points and build on your copy to give a better edge for your product. While projecting your product, you must be sensible and be prepared to find an answer to the questions others might throw at you.

Understand Your Consumers.

Ultimately, you should be able to connect with your target audience and woo them. You must define your target audience according to their income, gender, age and emotional needs. You can do a study or a survey on their buying habits and needs. Determining your audience is crucial because you should know where you are staking your money.

Will it Make My Life Easier?.

When you can convince your consumers of the advantages that they can get from your product, half the job of persuasion is done. If consumers feel that your product is beneficial for them then your advertisement has done its job. There should be a clear communication about the offers or discounts on your product. Focus on ‘YOU’.

It is important that you address your consumers while creating copies. Using ‘you’ rather than of ‘we’ will make your copy a personal one and the effect will be higher when compared to making use of ‘we’.

Use a Punch Line at the End.

One thing you must ensure is that your copies should not be stuffed with information which can make it uninteresting. Write a call for action at the end of your copy, which will persuade consumers to find the details about your product or service.

Persuasive Sales Page Principles-How to Increase Your Conversions

November 23rd, 2010

Are you wondering what is the best way to make your visitors purchase your products? Well, it is not all about traffic and if you want your company to perform great online, you need to pay more attention to such thing as copywriting. Here are main principles which will help you to create an effective sales message.

In order to create a great sales page you need to go through the following steps: attracting attention, outlining a problem, telling a story, using facts and statistics, overcoming objections, providing testimonials, providing guarantee, convincing a customer to act and using PS. First you start with attracting customers attention with a promising headline. Usually it give an idea of a benefit people are going to get.

As soon as you have the attention of the audience, tell people more about the problem and how great it would feel to get rid of it. Try to involve people emotionally, make them a part of the story for a while.

When a customer is in the emotional state, you start using facts and statistics. The main objective you will have to overcome at this stage is not willing to spend the money, but if you have made everything correctly prior, this will not be hard.

The next thing you need to take care about is testimonials. In case you don’t have them yet, let your friends try the product and write a review for you or just ask an expert for it. Then you need to take care of some kind of guarantee to protect the customer. Offer something more than money back guarantee, as you can lose much more time on using a product that doesn’t work.

Last, you want to TELL the customers SPECIFICALLY what to do in order to take advantage of your offer RIGHT NOW. This is crucial because if you do not get them to take action NOW the entire page was for nothing. Finally, for those who are about to decide not to buy you will want to have a powerful PS which inspires them to act NOW.

June 1st, 2010

Chances are good that you have been sitting with your family, enjoying a conversation or eating dinner when you are interrupted by a ringing phone. You answer the phone and hear a salesperson on the other end of the phone trying to convince you to buy a funeral plot or change long distance carriers. Like everyone else, you angrily tell the salesperson to remove you from his call-list. Next, you slam the phone down and hope he listened to you and takes you off of his list. This sales technique is called cold calling. The salespersons likely got your name and phone number from a company that you willing gave it to when you signed up for something. This is a very common scenario. Salespeople have gotten used to being cussed out, hung up on, and called all kinds of nasty names. Yet these salespeople keep calling total strangers, desperately hoping that just one of them will say yes.

You do this by choosing certain keywords and then posting those keywords throughout your site; usually through articles or blog entries. For instance, if you have a site selling financial planning e-books, you’ll want to choose keywords like money, make more money, how to make money on the internet, etc. When someone types these words into their favorite search engine, your site pops up. They click on it, find your product interesting and they buy. The person is actually looking for what you’re selling. Isn’t that much better than calling someone out of the blue who may not need or want your product or service? Of course it is. And that’s why many top salespeople are utilizing these techniques to generate more financial sales leads than ever before.

SEO is always evolving. There’s article marketing, keyword density, pay-per-click, back links, and more. Study up on SEO, and you’ll see your business really take off. Stop using the cold calling techniques of the past. Start bringing your customers to you and finally get those financial sales leads you’ve been looking for.

Lead Generation - An Inexpensive Way To Have Customers For Life

May 28th, 2010

In order for your business to thrive you need a fresh supply of leads on a regular basis. The problem is that obtaining these leads can be expensive so it is a challenging task when you are first starting out and don’t have much in your budget to spare. Here are some things to consider that might lower the cost of getting business leads.

A lot of websites are set up just to sell a product. While this can be a lucrative approach, it does little to help you gain future prospects. Although a name and email is usually collected with each sale, there is no further contact or follow up with the customer.

This type of sales process is singular and contains you to a single sale to a single customer. What you want to do is design it so you have a way of selling other items you have for sale to that same customer. Now, sales letter type pages require an effective text that drives the customer to hit the “Buy” button at the end. Sales copy is a skill that not all people have, so having it written for you is the answer.

Copywriters do not come cheap, especially if they are good and have a proven track record. That is the major cost of sales letter pages. In essence, you are relying on a set number of sales to offset that cost and lead into profit. This is known as overhead or initial outlay and we all have been there at one time or another.

Other expenses you will have to consider are related to the website itself. Not only do you need professionally written copy, you also need an appealing website, domain registration, and hosting. With the first business model, you will have to cover all of your expenses from single sales and will always need to keep ahead of your costs.

On the other hand, a site that generates leads on a continuous basis will pay for itself over and over again. Believe it or not, this does not have to be elaborate or flashy. A simple offer of a free item like a report or white paper can be made in exchange for a little information. Usually this is a name and email address. So for the cost of $0, you now have a contact that you can market to as long as they remain on your list.

Since the people agree to receive email from you when they request your free report, there is no risk of spamming, especially if you use double opt-in. This means that when someone enters their email address for the report, they must first click on a link and confirm their email before the report is sent. This prevents people from entering false email addresses or addresses that belong to someone else. Double opt-in confirms that your prospect is aware of what you are offering and has willingly asked to receive it.

This is why lead generation is so important. You add new people to your list every day and have an ever growing list of people to market to. It only takes a few minutes to implement and compared to hiring someone to craft a sales page and design a fancy website, the cost is minimal. Treat the people on your list well in order to build trust and you will have customers for life.
